What to do when you come to Crisfield

1st stop - The J. Millard Tawes Historical Museum and Visitor's Center
The Visitor's Center is staffed with knowledgeable, friendly people, eager to point you in the direction of town attractions and areas of interest. The historical museum is a perfect start to any Crisfield adventure, offering information on Crisfield's beginnings, culture, history, and current area lifestyles.

12 noon - 5 pm at the City Dock, fresh local seafood, arts and crafts, Waterman's Hall of Fame Awards, Live entertainment.  FREE Admission.

July 20, 2011 - Wednesday
 35th Annual J. M. Tawes Crab & Clam Bake – 12:00-3:30 p.m.

ALL YOU CAN EAT Steamed Crabs, Clams – (Steamed, Raw Bar & Fried) Fresh Fried Fish, Onion Rings, French-Fries, Corn on the Cob, Watermelon, Pepsi, beer & water. Tickets should be purchased in advance! $40.00 – all you can eat!

Sept. 2, 3 & 4, 2011 – Fri., Sat., Sun.
64th Annual Hard Crab Derby
Grounds open Friday, 6 pm-10:00 p.m.; Sat. Noon-10:00 p.m.; Sunday Noon-10:00 p.m.  Held at the Somers Cove Marina. Crab Races, Crab Cooking Contest, Crab Picking contest, Parade, Skiff Races, Boat Docking Contest, Crafts, Carnival, Games, Swim Meet, Entertainment, Fresh Seafood, Beverages and MUCH MORE!
FREE ADMISSION onto Crab Derby grounds. Charge for special events, such as concerts & Crisfield Idol.

December 9, 2011 – Friday
Crisfield Christmas Parade – Main Street, 6:00 p.m.


Area Attractions The Tangier Sound area and lower shore of Maryland's Eastern Shore abounds with activities and fun for all ages. The Crisfield town dock is a 10 to 15-minute walk from the B&B.
